Course Code 95: Physical strain

Sitting behind the wheel for a long time can have negative consequences for the health of drivers. For example, incorrect sitting posture can lead to neck, back or shoulder complaints. In addition, working with heavy goods can have an impact on the body. For example, consider lifting heavy equipment or pulling pallet trucks. During the Code 95 Work Safety course, drivers learn to perform their work correctly and without physical complaints.

Unfortunately, once drivers have physical complaints, it is difficult for them to get rid of them. That is why the Code 95: Physical strain course is aimed at preventing complaints among drivers. By practicing sitting and steering positions and lifting techniques, the driver learns to recognize risks in his own work situation in a practical way.

Programme

Practice is central to this training. Together with the experts from Schouten Advies, the drivers will work on:

  • Lifting exercises and applying work techniques
  • Assess your own work situation
  • Correct adjustment of the driver’s seat
  • Applying correct sitting and steering positions
  • Various practice tests

In addition, drivers learn to recognize and prevent physical (over)load and drivers are enabled to continue to perform their work under healthy conditions. Code 95 Physical strain is suitable for drivers from all sectors. The course is accredited by the CBR and counts towards your Code 95 refresher course. Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the training.
