What is FAMI-QS?
Whether you are a trader in raw materials, a feed manufacturer, involved in feed storage and transshipment, or a transporter of animal feed, if you are part of the animal feed chain in the Netherlands, you need a recognized certificate such as GMP+, Ovocom FCA, or FAMI-QS. The scope of FAMI-QS covers specialty feed ingredients. A specialty feed ingredient is defined as any deliberately added ingredient that is not normally consumed as feed on its own, whether or not it has nutritional value, and that affects the properties of feed or animals/animal products and animal performance.

It is possible to be certified for FAMI-QS as a trader or as a producer. A FAMI-QS certificate shows your customers that your products are safe and contribute to high-quality food for both humans and animals, and it demonstrates that you comply with legal requirements.
