Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)
More and more organizations want to ensure that their products have a positive impact on the world. With MSC certification, companies can contribute to the preservation of sustainable fisheries worldwide. Schouten Advies can assist you with this.
What is the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)?
The Marine Stewardship Council is dedicated to protecting our oceans by combating overfishing and unsustainable fishing practices of wild marine and freshwater organisms. They do this through fishery certification, but various steps in the chain can also be certified, such as traders and manufacturers in the food and feed industries. With MSC certification, these companies can demonstrate that the raw materials they use in their products contribute to MSC’s sustainability goals.
MSC applies to sustainable, wild-caught fish species and other seafood. We help companies further down the supply chain, also known as Chain of Custody Certificate holders, with MSC certification. This includes traders of these products, as well as food and feed producers that process them.
