VLOG
What is VLOG?
Since May 2008 the EC Genetic Engineering Implementation Act (EGGenTDurchfG) has been in force in Germany. It regulates the labelling of foodstuffs the production of which no GMOs were used. The goal is to produce products without the use of genetically modified organisms. An important condition for complying with this is that livestock farmers feed GMO-free feeds.
The added value of VLOG certification for your company
Consumers and buyers ask companies that produce meat, dairy and eggs to supply non-GMO products. With a VLOG certificate you can show that you can meet that demand. A standard has also been developed by GMP+ International: FRA (MI105). This standard is interchangeable with VLOG.
VLOG with Schouten Advies
Schouten Advies helps you by converting abstract legislation into practical tools that can improve the demand for your products. We assist you by providing advice and setting up the quality system in accordance with the VLOG guidelines. Through the practical experience of our consultants, we will introduce you to the world of genetically modified organisms in animal feed.
Once your quality system has been set up, we will help you maintain it. In addition, you can always call on our consultants for expert advice in the field of legislation and regulations (such as labelling), approvals and registrations, conducting internal audits, setting up an HACCP plan, elaborating specifications or for example for performing supplier audits.
VLOG trainings, courses and secondment
We also have consultants who are detached at animal feed and food companies. We also provide training courses on sustainability, among other things. We provide these courses at our location in Giessen, but we also provide in-company training. You can read more about these training courses here.
