Food Label Check
During a food label check, your label is assessed based on applicable laws and regulations. You can request label checks from us for all types of food products, from general food products and dietary supplements to products from the B2B channel. Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 “Food Information to Consumers” forms the basis of this label check and is supplemented by any product-specific European requirements.

Before we begin, we will discuss with you what will be included in the label check:

• Review of European laws and regulations
• Verification of the languages used on the label
• Review of local legislation
• Verification of specific non-statutory requirements, such as retail requirements.

Feed Label Check

During a feed label check, your label will be reviewed based on the applicable laws and regulations. In addition to feed materials and complete and complementary feeds, we are also well-equipped to check labels for additives and premixes.

For feed products, Regulation (EU) 767/2009 on the marketing of feed is used as the basis. This is supplemented with requirements from, for example, the Feed Materials Catalogue, Regulation (EU) 68/2013, and the requirements regarding additives from Regulation (EU) 1831/2003. If necessary, the review is further supplemented with specific legislation, such as for dietetic feeds, animal by-products, and organic products. Specific guidelines, such as the FEDIAF Labeling Guideline, can also be included if desired.

 The Proces

1. You start by filling out the questionnaire.
2. After receiving the questionnaire, it will be reviewed, data will be gathered, and any additional questions will be asked.
3. Based on the information provided, a quote will be prepared for you.
4. Once the quote is signed and the labels are received, we will begin the label assessment and prepare a report with any recommendations.
5. You will receive the report via email within 10 working days.*

*Depending on the number of label checks, our turnaround time is 10 working days. If you are in a hurry or have a large request, specific arrangements will be made with you.
