Assessment of in-house RI&

In a number of cases, an RI&E under own management must be tested by a health and safety expert. From a legal point of view, the RI&E must be assessed

How does the assessment work?

The expert from Schouten Advies looks, among other things, at how the RI&E has been carried out, whether the action plan meets all requirements and whether the measures have the potential to achieve the desired effect. A report is drawn up of the results of the assessment.

A review by Schouten Advies looks like this:

  • the RI&E and the Action Plan are assessed prior to the visit;
  • a visual assessment is made based on a tour of the company;
  • you will receive a signed report with the results of the assessment.

Do I have to have my RI&E assessed?

In many cases, the RI&E must be tested by an occupational health and safety expert. Are you unsurewhether this also applies to your RI&E? The principle is actually quite simple: if you use a recognised industry-specific RI&E instrument and have fewer than 25 employees, you qualify for the test exemption. In all other cases, your RI&E must be tested. On www.rie.nl (Dutch website) you will find an overview of all RI&E instruments that qualify for the test exemption.

Do you not yet have an RI&E but will you have one carried out by an occupational health and safety expert from Schouten Advies? In that case, the RI&E is immediately tested after its implementation. Curious about the possibilities? Please contact Schouten Advies.
