Basic course ISCC

The demand for sustainable products and energy is ever-increasing. An ISCC certificate can provide assurance in the sustainability of your products. It is a leading certification system for ensuring sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In July 2011, the European Commission recognized ISCC as one of the first certification schemes aimed at complying with the European directive 2018/2001/EU.

Target Audience
This course is specifically designed for quality control staff, buyers and sellers, and administrative personnel involved in inventory management and order processing. Level bachelor level (HBO) / upper secondary education levels (MBO). 

Program
In this training, you will learn the fundamentals of ISCC necessary for implementing the certificate in your company.

  • You will learn the ins and outs of various aspects of ISCC, such as:
    • The method of traceability for sustainable products;
    • The use of self-declarations;
    • The way to communicate sustainability data;
    • Setting up a mass balance;
    • Calculating the CO2 emission value;
    • Coverage of ISCC EU or ISCC Plus;
    • You will receive tools to make your company more sustainable with ISCC.

This training lasts 4-6 hours (depending on which ISCC certificate is discussed). During this training, various practical cases, (group) exercises, and realistic examples are used to help participants better understand the concepts and applications. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate as proof of participation in the training.

Learning Objectives
Participants will learn to:

  • Understand the basic principles of ISCC and implement them in their company to obtain an ISCC certificate.
  • Calculate the CO2 footprint of products and processes.
  • Establish a mass balance.
