Developing a Feed Monitoring Plan
In accordance with both legal requirements and various quality systems, such as GMP+ and FCA, it is mandatory to establish a monitoring plan for animal feed. But how do you develop an effective plan? What laws and regulations apply, and what additional requirements are set by GMP+ or FCA? This training provides clear insights into the requirements for developing a monitoring plan for feed.
Target group
This training is specifically designed for quality managers, members of the HACCP and validation teams, directors, buyers, and sales representatives. It equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement a monitoring plan. The level of the training is: bachelor level (HBO) / upper secondary education levels (MBO+).
Program
The training lasts approximately 3 hours and covers the following topics:
- The importance of monitoring in the feed sector
- Approaches at the legal and chain level:
- Ensuring feed safety within the feed chain
- European and national legislation (Netherlands/Belgium)
- GMP+, FCA, and SecureFeed requirements
- The collective monitoring plan
- Steps for developing a monitoring plan:
- Based on legal requirements, quality systems, and HACCP
- Basic sampling requirements
- Interpretation of results
- Sharing analysis results
During this training, (group) exercises and realistic examples will be used to help participants better understand the concepts and applications. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate as proof of participation in the training.
Learning objectives
After completing this training, participants will be able to independently develop a monitoring plan that fits the activities of their company. This includes:
- Identifying which products require a monitoring plan
- Determining which parameters need to be examined
- Defining the frequency of monitoring
- Interpreting the results
