FAMI-QS Feed Awareness training for production staff and warehouse employees

This training highlights the undeniable impact of production staff and warehouse employees on feed safety. The training covers the key elements for a FAMI-QS certified production and/or warehouse environment. It is of great importance that all participants are aware of their responsibilities and the consequences of their actions for overall product safety. This training provides the necessary knowledge and skills to create a safe and efficient working environment.

Target group
This training is specifically developed for production staff and warehouse employees. The training is conducted at upper vocational level.

Program
The training lasts approximately two hours and covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to feed safety systems and FAMI-QS
  • The FAMI-QS requirements for storage and production, including:
    • Incoming goods inspection
    • Cleaning and maintenance
    • Cross-contamination
    • Personal hygiene
    • Requirements for the storage location
    • Pest control and management
  • Information about contaminants, including:
    • Distinguishing between chemical, microbiological, and physical contaminants
    • Main examples of these contaminants
    • Visibility and recognizability of contaminants
  • Requirements for traceability
  • Advice for sampling
  • How to handle complaints and deviations
  • Practical tips for feed defense

During this training, various practical cases, (group) exercises and realistic examples will be used to help participants better understand the concepts and applications. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate as proof of participation in the training.

Learning objectives

  1. Participants understand the impact of their responsibilities on feed safety and can assess the consequences of their actions.
  2. Participants are able to apply the FAMI-QS requirements for storage and production in their daily work.
  3. Participants can effectively handle complaints and deviations, and know how to identify contaminants and ensure traceability.
